Our Restaurant
The Fish Basket is the creation of Peter and Elaine Shanahan.
Elaine is a chef and baker with extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Elaine also bakes and creates the most Devine selection of home-baked produce available for the Fish Basket patrons to enjoy.
When Peter and Elaine brought their skills and knowledge together back in 2014 they started from a Food Truck, which amazed its patrons with the quality, flavour and freshness of the food. Not to mention the value!
Since then they have expanded and now they are the proud owners of the acclaimed The Fish Basket Restaurant, Long Strand Beach.
The vision of this dynamic duo was to provide superior quality, locally sourced fresh food to families and individuals who can enjoy the real taste of West Cork with the most stunning views of the Wild Atlantic Way in their rustic and unique restaurant.
Critics have hailed The Fish Basket “ The Best Kept Secret in Cork !” With a service rating of 11/10. Its a genuine pleasure to visit.
