The Fish Basket

  After a lovely walk on the Long strand popped in here for breakfast... The place was packed ... Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and was so great to see the owner Peter having a friendly word with all ... Would highly recommend the scones and flat white were scrumptious... Looking forward to my next visit ... 10 outta 10

The scampi is the nicest I've ever tasted and everything else was delicious too 10/10

On Sunday 16th July, a group of ~35 of us rocked up, impromptu, to the Fish Basket. We were several nationalities visiting from the International Space University. The staff responded wonderfully, and with the best attitude. They took our orders patiently, as some of us had little English. Food was delivered efficiently and was beautifully fresh, crispy batter on the fish and perfectly cooked chips, followed by a slice of divine chocolate cake. The location was perfect, beautiful view over rosscarbery, bathroom facilities, and even coffee! For some it was their first experience of fish and chips, others were fish and chip veterans, but everyone agreed the food was excellent! Thanks to everyone at the fish basket for their amazing hospitality and for making us all feel so welcome, oh and the full tummies! ��

Had the sharing box. Two large pieces of hake, scampi, mushy peas and chips. Plenty for 2 and only €15. Fish was so tasty and fresh! Amazing view as well !

Loved the fish it was so fresh, the scampi was the nicest I have ever had with generous portions, the kids were fighting over the cod in batter. Look forward to having it again, also lovely family enviorment with very friendly staff

Yum yum yum, love to come here. Also such a safe haven for the kids. Which means we can eat in peace while the kids play! ������!!!

  Pleased to visit The Fish Basket in these premises. A step up from a car park by the N71. Have been looking forward to coming here on our holiday in Ireland. The fish tacos were excellent. Friendly service. The cakes were really good as well.

  Loved everything. The atmosphere Very friendly and efficient staff The quality of the fish and chips. Coffee, hot chocolate and cakes. All against the backdrop of the majestic wild Atlantic hitting Long Strand. Hats off for taking on the challenge and an example of build it (well) and they will come.
