Our Delicious story
The Fish Basket is the creation of Peter and Elaine Shanahan.
We are serving fresh fish & chips locally sourced from West Cork.
Cooking is an art and patience a virtue. Careful shopping, fresh ingredients and an unhurried approach are nearly all you need.
There is one more thing - love. Love for food and love for those you invite to your table.
With a combination of these things, you can be an artist.

Called in yesterday evening with my sister. Amazing scampi, crab sandwich, chips and 2 x soft drinks - €20 ! Great value and lovely fresh seafood. Would definitely recommend.

May 12, 2019Excellent fish and chips - beautiful fresh fish, light, crispy batter and fabulous chips. Large portions, also get tartare sauce, slice of lemon and mushy peas!! Yum, yum.

August 11, 2018 We had a lovely walk along the beach and stopped for some food. Everything was beyond delicious. Fish tacos, mushroom soup, shrimp scampi, to name a few. The freshest ingredients. All came with delicious brown bread. We will definitely be returning. Noreen Folan

All in all great food served and cooked by people who know how to source great fish and cook with the care.
