  Pleased to visit The Fish Basket in these premises. A step up from a car park by the N71. Have been looking forward to coming here on our holiday in Ireland. The fish tacos were excellent. Friendly service. The cakes were really good as well.

Myself,husband and two boys went there tonight! The food was wonderful and the coffee very good . Staff was very friendly and helpful. We also was very impressed with location and the play pit for the lads. Toilet was very clean and I was surprised how chilled out the place was. We will be back as this is local to us and the fresh cod was the best we have had in some time. Great place well done x

Excellent fish and chips - beautiful fresh fish, light, crispy batter and fabulous chips. Large portions, also get tartare sauce, slice of lemon and mushy peas!! Yum, yum.

Lovely food,bit disappointed with the sharing plate in comparison to ordering your own,a lot smaller portion but was tasty regardless.

Had the sharing box. Two large pieces of hake, scampi, mushy peas and chips. Plenty for 2 and only €15. Fish was so tasty and fresh! Amazing view as well !

Loved the fish it was so fresh, the scampi was the nicest I have ever had with generous portions, the kids were fighting over the cod in batter. Look forward to having it again, also lovely family enviorment with very friendly staff

  The breakfast was amazing .... cycled from cork city to the fish basket then back by kinsale ... beautiful route and a nice breakfast in the middle of it .... the lads are sound too????????????

  Fabulous food served by the sea on the beautiful Long Strand. Delicious fresh fish ! The restaurant is in a rustic wooden hut at the entrance to the beach, it’s well worth a visit you won’t be disappointed.

best fish and chips ever had to wait about 45 mins, but it was well worth the wait.only problem was we were late getting there so unfortunately had no time for coffee or dessert.next time!

Wasn't our first time at the Fish Basket, love the location, We had a couple of first timers with us who also enjoyed the experience, we ordered 2 sharing boxes and a burger, food was delicious, I've deducted one star due to mix up with our order but I'm being really picky here, the mix up was handled very well, the fish basket was very busy which is lovely to see, we loved the food served and will be back very soon

Enjoyed a fabulous lunch in the Fish Basket yesterday, sandwiched in between 2 walks on the spotless, wild & wonderful beach. Helena was very welcoming & I enjoyed the Special of the day - HUGE prawns & crab claws in garlic butter with chips! I was in Heaven - Looking forward to going back!
