Myself,husband and two boys went there tonight! The food was wonderful and the coffee very good . Staff was very friendly and helpful. We also was very impressed with location and the play pit for the lads. Toilet was very clean and I was surprised how chilled out the place was. We will be back as this is local to us and the fresh cod was the best we have had in some time. Great place well done x

On Sunday 16th July, a group of ~35 of us rocked up, impromptu, to the Fish Basket. We were several nationalities visiting from the International Space University. The staff responded wonderfully, and with the best attitude. They took our orders patiently, as some of us had little English. Food was delivered efficiently and was beautifully fresh, crispy batter on the fish and perfectly cooked chips, followed by a slice of divine chocolate cake. The location was perfect, beautiful view over rosscarbery, bathroom facilities, and even coffee! For some it was their first experience of fish and chips, others were fish and chip veterans, but everyone agreed the food was excellent! Thanks to everyone at the fish basket for their amazing hospitality and for making us all feel so welcome, oh and the full tummies! ��

We had a lovely walk along the beach and stopped for some food. Everything was beyond delicious. Fish tacos, mushroom soup, shrimp scampi, to name a few. The freshest ingredients. All came with delicious brown bread. We will definitely be returning.

Had the sharing box. Two large pieces of hake, scampi, mushy peas and chips. Plenty for 2 and only €15. Fish was so tasty and fresh! Amazing view as well !

Just home after fantastic food in this lovely spot. We will be back soon. Everyone in the car was very happy which isn't always easy.

  Fabulous food served by the sea on the beautiful Long Strand. Delicious fresh fish ! The restaurant is in a rustic wooden hut at the entrance to the beach, it’s well worth a visit you won’t be disappointed.

  utterly fab Sunday morning treat after a run, coffee and scone in the cafe. lively menu. cosy. buzzy and could have sat there all day. fab atmosphere. can't wait to go back again... well done Peter and gang.

Perfect stop enroute from Baltimore to home. We opted for the Scampi x 2. Excellent value. 10 Euro fish & chips. Served with tartar sauce, peas & wedge of Lemon. Vista from picnic table over the valley to Rosscarbery. Just gorgeous. Very clean area. 2 very friendly dogs part of the home grounds. Pigs & hens to show the kids. Toilets spotless. Bins provided for waste one for food rubbish other for cans , plastic bottles. Lovely young girl & lad serving. Look forward to popping in again enroute from Baltimore. Had chips here before with fish basket whilst in car park down the road. New venue much nicer. Well worth supporting too.

  Friendly attentive staff in beautiful surroundings and that’s before my delicious food even arrived. I got the fish tacos. They were so fresh and tasty I had them devoured in minutes. I’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend stopping here.
