The Fish Basket is the creation of Peter and Elaine Shanahan.
We are serving fresh fish & chips locally sourced from West Cork.
Cooking is an art and patience a virtue. Careful shopping, fresh ingredients and an unhurried approach are nearly all you need.
There is one more thing - love. Love for food and love for those you invite to your table.
With a combination of these things, you can be an artist.

June 24, 2017Absolutely gorgeous food. Well worth a visit. Kids loved the hens, pigs + sand area. Selection of fish + chips just delicious. We ate here twice in our few days in Clonakilty. It was just that good we had to go back!

June 10, 2015- Fabulous food served by the sea on the beautiful Long Strand. Delicious fresh fish ! The restaurant is in a rustic wooden hut at the entrance to the beach, it’s well worth a visit you won’t be disappointed. Susan Ralph
